I am the mother of a child who had video game-induced partial seizures for years that no one recognized, and I have read a great deal of research and met with some of the leading researchers on photosensitivity. A few points to consider:
*Peak age for onset of photosensitivity is 7-19.
*He might have seen different images on the screen than previously
*His seizure threshold might have been lower due to lack of sleep, hunger, etc.
*He may have been having subtle video game seizures already that nobody could detect.

I think this problem is much more widespread than people realize.
